About the Company

A great opportunity for an SEO specialist who wants to do more than just manage rankings.

We’re working with a growing specialist marketing agency to find an SEO & GEO Manager to take ownership of search across an established portfolio of clients, while helping shape what the future of search looks like.

This is a genuinely hands-on role, combining SEO strategy, technical SEO, content, local search and emerging generative search (GEO).

And if you're fascinated by how AI is changing the way people discover businesses, brands and information, this could be a particularly interesting opportunity.

Description

You'll take the lead on SEO strategy and delivery across a portfolio of premium clients, working closely with performance marketing, brand, content, and account management specialists.

There's already a strong SEO foundation in place, so this isn't a role where you'll be expected to build everything from scratch. Instead, you'll have the opportunity to own the discipline, identify opportunities and make a visible commercial impact.

Alongside the established SEO work, you'll play an important role in developing the agency's approach to GEO and AI search: testing what works, developing a practical methodology and helping turn this emerging area into a valuable service for clients.

You'll also have genuine client exposure, so we're looking for someone who enjoys explaining SEO, presenting ideas and recommendations, and turning data into a story that clients can understand.

What you'll be doing

  • Taking ownership of SEO strategy and day-to-day delivery across a portfolio of clients
  • Carrying out keyword research, competitor analysis and search opportunity assessments
  • Developing search-led content strategies around intent, customer journeys and topical authority
  • Optimising websites, landing pages and product/service pages
  • Carrying out technical SEO audits and identifying opportunities around crawlability, indexation, architecture and performance
  • Making routine SEO changes directly within CMS platforms, including WordPress
  • Working across areas including redirects, canonicals, structured data, internal linking, XML sitemaps and robots.txt
  • Supporting local SEO and Google Business Profile optimisation
  • Monitoring and analysing performance through tools including Google Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs and Screaming Frog
  • Developing clear reporting and dashboards that demonstrate commercial impact
  • Working closely with brand, content and performance specialists to create joined-up strategies
  • Joining client conversations and presenting recommendations and results when your expertise is required
  • Helping develop the agency's GEO/AI search proposition, methodology and reporting
  • Experimenting with new AI and search tools and keeping ahead of how the search landscape is evolving

Experience

We're looking for someone with strong SEO foundations and a genuine curiosity about where search is heading next.

You might currently be an SEO Manager, Senior SEO Executive, Search Manager or SEO specialist looking for a role where you can take greater ownership.

You'll ideally have experience across:

  • Technical, on-page, content, off-page and local SEO
  • Developing and implementing SEO strategies
  • Keyword research, search intent and competitor analysis
  • Google Business Profile and local SEO
  • Google Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs and Screaming Frog
  • GA4 and GTM, with the ability to create or develop useful reporting
  • Working within WordPress or other CMS platforms
  • A basic understanding of HTML/CSS
  • Using data to make commercially focused recommendations
  • Presenting ideas and results to clients or stakeholders

Most importantly, you'll be curious about AI and generative search.

You don't necessarily need to be a GEO expert already. In fact, this role could be ideal if you've started experimenting with AI search and want the opportunity to turn that interest into genuine expertise and build something new.

You'll need to be comfortable working independently, managing multiple priorities, and communicating confidently with both clients and internal teams.

Remuneration

  • Salary: £32,000–£40,000 depending on experience + bonus
  • Location: Stratford-upon-Avon
  • Working pattern: Hybrid – 3 days in the office, 2 days remote
  • Holiday: 25 days + bank holidays
