About the Company

We're currently recruiting for a Midweight Digital Designer (UX & UI) on behalf of a fabulous creative agency based in the East Midlands.

This is a great opportunity for either:

  • a driven junior designer ready to step up, or
  • an established midweight looking for a stronger agency environment and a clear route into a senior role over time.

Our client is an agency with a strong reputation for creating thoughtful, well-crafted work across digital, brand, and experience-led projects, with a particular strength in retail and consumer-facing brands. They’re looking for someone who’s creatively ambitious, digitally curious and keen to build their career in an environment where design quality really matters.

Description

You’ll join a collaborative digital team working across a broad mix of UX and UI projects ... from websites and ecommerce journeys to branded digital experiences and campaign-led creative.

This is a hands-on design role where you’ll be involved in the full project lifecycle: helping shape ideas, building wireframes and user journeys, crafting polished interfaces, and working closely with senior creatives and developers to bring work to life.

The role offers plenty of scope to grow, with support from experienced designers and a clear progression path for someone who wants to develop into a Senior Digital Designer over the next few years.

Experience

Candidates with experience working on retail, ecommerce, hospitality or wider consumer brand projects will be of particular interest. Our client is keen to see designers who understand how digital design can balance brand experience, customer engagement, and commercial effectiveness.

  • Experience in digital design, ideally with a focus on UX and UI
  • Experience working as part of a fast-paced agency, studio, or in-house creative team
  • A portfolio that demonstrates strong digital craft, visual thinking, and an interest in user experience
  • Understanding of user journeys, wireframing, responsive design, and interface best practice
  • Confidence using tools such as Figma and Adobe Creative Suite
  • A positive, proactive attitude and the ambition to keep developing as a digital designer

Remuneration

  • A chance to work on ambitious digital projects in a respected agency environment
  • Strong opportunities for progression and development into a senior role
  • A collaborative team culture with plenty of support and exposure to varied work
  • Hybrid working from the studio: 4 days in / 1 day remote
  • Negotiable salary, depending on experience

If you’re looking for a role where you can sharpen your UX/UI skills, work on stronger creative projects, and build a long-term career in an agency, we'd love to tell you more!
