We're working with an award-winning creative and digital agency looking to strengthen its studio team with the addition of a talented Middleweight Designer.
This is a great opportunity for a designer who loves the craft of design, has a strong eye for detail and enjoys taking creative ideas and turning them into engaging, high-quality work across campaigns, brands and digital channels.
Working closely with the agency's Creative and Design Leads, you'll play an important hands-on role in bringing ideas to life... from developing creative concepts and designing pitch work through to producing campaign assets and delivering work across a varied client portfolio.
The agency has an exciting mix of clients and projects, with a growing portfolio of integrated campaign work, brand awareness activity and ongoing social and digital projects. Recent client wins have created some fantastic opportunities for the studio, meaning there's plenty of interesting work to get stuck into.
This is primarily a hands-on design role, so we're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys getting stuck into the creative process and producing great work.
You'll be involved in taking initial ideas and developing them into compelling creative executions, supporting pitches, building campaign concepts and producing the assets needed to bring projects to life.
You'll work across a variety of channels, including social, digital, advertising and integrated campaigns, adapting your approach to different brands, audiences and objectives.
As you settle into the role, there's also an opportunity to develop your responsibilities. Over the first 6–12 months, you'll gradually take on more of a supporting role within the studio, helping Creative and Design Leads oversee projects, review creative output and provide constructive feedback and guidance to more junior designers.
It's a chance to combine your love of design with the opportunity to take on more responsibility and develop towards a senior position.
Taking creative ideas and developing them into high-quality visual concepts and design executions.
Creating design work for pitches, campaigns, advertising and brand awareness activity.
Designing and producing campaign assets across social, digital and wider marketing channels.
Working across both retained client accounts and project-based campaigns.
Bringing ideas to life through strong typography, layout, imagery and visual storytelling.
Supporting the development of creative concepts, with the ability to contribute ideas and thinking during the creative process.
Working collaboratively with Creative and Design Leads, Account Teams and the wider agency.
Ensuring all creative output is delivered to a high standard, maintaining consistency across different brands and touchpoints.
Over time, supporting the Leads with project oversight, reviewing work and providing feedback to junior members of the studio.
Keeping up to date with design trends, creative developments and emerging technologies, including AI.
We're looking for a talented designer who is at the upper end of Middleweight. There is genuine scope to grow into a more senior position, developing your confidence in reviewing creative work, supporting junior designers and helping the wider team deliver brilliant work.
You'll bring:
Strong graphic design skills and an excellent eye for typography, layout, composition and detail.
A portfolio demonstrating high-quality design work across campaigns, digital and social.
Experience taking creative ideas and turning them into polished, engaging design executions.
An understanding of how to develop creative work for different brands, audiences and marketing objectives.
Some conceptual experience and the confidence to contribute ideas, particularly when developing campaign concepts and pitch work.
Excellent working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator.
The ability to manage multiple projects, work to deadlines and maintain consistently high standards.
A collaborative approach, strong communication skills and the confidence to work with different teams and stakeholders.
A genuine passion for design and an interest in evolving creative trends and technology.
Experience with motion, animation or video editing would be a bonus, but isn't essential. Similarly, experience with After Effects or UX/UI would be advantageous rather than a requirement.
