About the Company

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a purpose-led charity that is making a meaningful difference to communities across the UK.

With a focus on supporting its charitable mission alongside a growing social enterprise and retail operation, the organisation is looking for a creative and commercially minded Marketing Manager to raise brand awareness, strengthen engagement and support its fundraising and growth ambitions.

This is an opportunity to combine strategic thinking with hands-on delivery, using compelling campaigns, audience insight and powerful storytelling to connect more people with the organisation’s work and impact.

Description

Reporting to the Head of Communications and Marketing, the Marketing Manager will lead the development and delivery of integrated marketing strategies and campaigns that raise awareness, engage new audiences and support fundraising and social enterprise growth.

Working collaboratively across the organisation, you’ll bring the brand to life through engaging content and audience-focused marketing, ensuring activity is consistent, impactful and aligned with wider organisational objectives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and deliver brand-led marketing strategies that support charitable awareness, fundraising priorities and social enterprise growth.
  • Plan and execute integrated campaigns across digital, social media, print and in-person channels.
  • Identify opportunities for growth and engagement through audience insight, market research and product development for fundraising.
  • Monitor campaign performance, analyse results and use data to continually improve reach, engagement and return on investment.
  • Develop targeted marketing activity to increase footfall, sales and community engagement across the organisation’s social enterprises and retail operations.
  • Manage marketing budgets effectively, ensuring resources are used to maximise impact.
  • Maintain consistent brand messaging and work closely with teams across the organisation to deliver joined-up communications.
  • Line manage and develop a Marketing Officer, providing leadership, mentoring and support to encourage creativity and continuous improvement.

This is a remote-based position, with regular travel to the organisation’s communities and other UK locations.

Experience

We’re looking for an experienced marketing professional who combines strategic thinking and creativity with a strong understanding of audience engagement, integrated campaigns and measurable results. You must understand and have experience within fundraising and be able to demonstrate the impact of what you've done, rather than just talking about it.

Essential experience and skills:

  • Proven experience in a Marketing Manager or similar role, ideally within a charity, social enterprise or purpose-led organisation.
  • Experience of fundraising and identifying opportunities to grow engagement.
  • Strong knowledge of digital marketing, analytics and audience-focused content creation.
  • A track record of developing and delivering integrated campaigns that increase awareness and engagement.
  • Experience of brand development and maintaining consistent messaging across multiple channels.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to turn complex information into clear, compelling and accessible messaging.
  • A data-informed approach, using insight to evaluate performance and shape future activity.
  • Experience of managing or mentoring colleagues, with the ability to motivate others and support their development.

You’ll be proactive, creative and solutions-focused, comfortable working autonomously and motivated by the opportunity to use marketing to make a genuine difference.
